Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was one of four Blues stars who made it into Whoscored‘s Champions League Team of the Week. The Senegalese international was given a rating of 7.87 by the website as he kept yet another clean sheet against Krasnodar.
Although the 28-year-old wasn’t called upon that often in the 4-0 win last night, the keeper has looked composed and assured, for the most part, since arriving at Stamford Bridge last month.
Hakim Ziyech was also named in the eleven by Whoscored. With an impressive rating of 8.46, the Moroccan international had five attempts on goal during the 90 minutes, as well as getting on the scoresheet.
Kurt Zouma, with a rating of 7.72, made the line up despite some difficult moments versus Krasnodar but his dominance in the air makes him an excellent asset to have.
Chelsea’s fourth player in the eleven was Kai Havertz (8.60), who created four goalscoring opportunities on the night, as well as providing the assist for Callum Hudson Odoi’s opening goal.
