Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is “on the verge” of signing a new contract, according to the Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law.
The reliable journalist has confirmed that the 31-year-old is “close” to extending his current deal beyond the end of the season:

Kante has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in recent months as doubts have grown over whether an agreement could be reached over an extension.
The main stumbling block was believed to be the length of the deal, with Kante expecting a guaranteed three years, while the club were (initially) only prepared to hand him an extra two.
Law seems to be claiming that the issue has now been resolved. It does, of course, coincide with Kante’s return to training this week. The France international has been out since mid-August after sustaining a serious hamstring injury. He won’t feature against Spurs this weekend but he will be back in contention very soon.
