Mata Would Leave In Order To Make It To The World Cup In Brazil

Juan Mata who was one of Chelsea’s best players for last season, is seemingly not on the same page as Mourinho. The Spaniard has not been one of the Portuguese manager’s favorites, despite his great form and incredible talent.

According to Metro, Mata could move to France this winter even if Mourinho announced no transfers will take place until the summer. It is hard to believe though that players like the Spaniard or De Bruyne will miss out on the World Cup just to stay at Stamford Bridge.

It looks like the only ones who could snatch up Mata are PSG. Premier League teams like Liverpool, Tottenham, United or Arsenal who have the financial power are unlikely to get close to Chelsea’s player. Despite being willing to let Mata go, Mourinho is well aware of his player’s qualities. A move to a direct rival would make no sense especially at this particular point in the Premier League.

Mata is valued at around £30 million which narrows his options to one or two possible destinations. Primera teams and PSG are the only ones who can make that number in order to sign the Spaniard.
