Chelsea have completed the signing of Arsenal attacking midfielder Omari Hutchinson for an undisclosed fee.
The Jamaican was within the final year of his contract at the Gunners and Thomas Tuchel’s side have taken advantage of the situation and snapped up a very talented young player.
Unsurprisingly, fans on Twitter are very happy that the Blues have managed to secure Hutchinson’s signature, especially as he was recruited from one of their fiercest rivals:

This is the type of player I’d want integrated into the 1st team in about 3 seasons,2 seasons in u23 pl and 1 season loan to monitor him coz I believe and know he’s a proper talent, a creative no 10 and rw which we really lack in the first team

The speed of the transfer meant the deal came as a surprise to many. It only came out on Friday that a move was on the cards, and he was officially unveiled soon afterwards.
Hutchinson is Chelsea’s third signing of the summer transfer window, although his switch is certainly less high profile than the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
The 18-year-old is likely to start out in the club’s Under 23s before, hopefully, getting some minutes in the domestic cups next season.
