Goalkeeper and Defence
RB – Malo Gusto – Trevoh Chalobah has done a decent job at right-back but the Frenchman is a more natural fit for the position. He is much stronger in the final third of the pitch and he links up pretty well with Cole Palmer.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – continues to impress with his performances, and he deserves to keep his place, even if Gusto returns to the lineup. There are still doubts, though, whether he will stay at the club beyond the summer.
CB – Thiago Silva – the 39-year-old rolled back the years with a vintage performance against West Ham, and his partnership with Chalobah has been pretty solid for the most part, so Benoit Badiashile could be the one to make way.
LB – Marc Cucurella – Manager Mauricio Pochettino has shifted the system in recent games, with the Spaniard being deployed as an inverted fullback, and it has paid dividends.
