Lukaku Tempted To Request Loan Extension With Everton?

Romelu Lukaku is one of the hottest names in the Premier League. His performances have helped Everton move into 5th place, only 3 points behind 2nd place. The Toffees hope to make it to the Champions League at the end of the season which could tempt Chelsea’s striker to extend his loan. According to ESPN, the 20 year old striker is not on the best of terms with the Blues who certainly won’t have forgotten about him over the past months.

Lukaku is on his second loan after spending the 2012-2013 season playing for WBA. Surprisingly enough, at the beginning of this season, Chelsea’s management decided he is not yet ready to become a team regular so he was sent to play for Everton. It was a poor decision Mourinho made considering the young Belgian has scored more goals than all three Chelsea strikers put together. His 8 goals put him in third place as far as the Premier League’s best top scorers go. The Blues’ most efficient player is Oscar who has managed to score 5 times.

The Belgian international recently spoke about his situation and seems pretty keen on staying with Everton for another season. Apparently he is not that confident he would have had as many chances to play at Stamford Bridge as he has while at Goodison Park. He is also keen and confident his current team will qualify for the Champions League which according to Lukaku is one of his main priorities.

Even with his great performances, the 20 year old striker is not at all certain of his future with Chelsea who have been looking for a star quality striker for a while. Mourinho seems rather more interested in bringing in someone like Falcao instead of giving the opportunity to someone like Lukaku.

Everton’s top scorer is seriously considering extending his agreement with the Toffees which he believes might be a great choice for his career. He is planning on representing his country at the World Cup and becoming a world class striker which is an ambitious goal for any player of his age. Hopefully for Chelsea fans he will continue leaving his mark on the Premier League only wearing the blue of Chelsea not Everton.
