One of Europe’s most promising youngsters is starting to raise interest massive interest from several big teams, after an excellent season start on Merseyside. Romelu Lukaku has been with Chelsea since 2011 but has managed his most impressive performances when on loan with WBA and now Everton. He managed 17 goals in 35 appearances for The Baggies and was considered a perfect fit for Chelsea’s attacking line. Surprisingly, Mourinho decided to let him join Everton until the end of this season. It was quite unexpected considering Torres’s constant lack of form, Demba Ba’s poor performances and the fact that Eto’o has been out of contact with important matches over the past two years.
Recent rumors linked Chelsea’s player to Juventus. The Italian side apparently made a wrong choice during the summer after deciding to spend big on Fernando Llorente who has not managed to adapt to Serie A. Fortunately for Lukaku, Juventus seem to be targeting a certain type of player after loaning Bendtner who is basically the same player as Llorente, only a bit younger.
The Italian side will want to invest in a strong footballer that could help Tevez score a lot of goals. Chelsea’s forward is probably one of the most promising strikers you could find. According to Metro, Everton’s manager, Roberto Martinez was not aware of Juventus’s interest for the Belgian forward. Fortunately for his team, Lukaku is under contract with Chelsea until 2016 and the only way he can leave is if the Italians pay somewhere around £24 million. Even so, Everton’s current striker is on loan until the end of the year. If he keeps up his good form he may finally end up scoring for Chelsea who will surely need to change things up a bit in front of goal.
The Blues have started an interesting movement that includes mostly youngsters. Lukaku is the perfect fit for Chelsea’s attacking line and will probably leave Everton and return to Stamford Bridge for good at the end of this season. Until then, the 20 year old player seems to be doing an amazing job playing for the Merseyside team.
