Lukaku Hits Out At Rumours

Romelu Lukaku certainly has an interesting summer ahead of him. The striker has confirmed that he will leave Everton this summer, with his intention to stay in the Premier League. It has been heavily rumoured that he will return to Chelsea, but Manchester United also have their sights set on the Belgian.

Speculation intensified over the weekend as a video surfaced of Lukaku playing football surrounded by Chelsea logos, apparently enough evidence to suggest he will be back at Stamford Bridge next season. However, Lukaku has hit out at the rumours, writing on his Twitter that the rumours were “BS.”

The Belgian striker wrote, “Hearing all this BS again. It’s just a five-a-side game people! Some of you need to chill.”

Earlier this summer, Lukaku said that he and his agent have an agreement with another club, also confirming that he will remain in the Premier League.

“I know what’s happening. But I can’t tell you anything more. I know what’s happening, but I will leave the talks to my agent.” said Lukaku.

“The most important thing is I want to win trophies. We are now talking to the club.”

“As for the rest, I’m looking ahead. What I would like most is to play is in the Champions League and try to win the Premier League once. Or better, a few times. That would be the most beautiful thing.”

Chelsea are still the favourites to land Lukaku, but this little Twitter outburst is certainly very strange.
