Luiz No Longer The Only Chelsea Player Targeted By Europe’s Biggest

After David Luiz constantly being linked to Barcelona, it seems that yet another one of Chelsea’s defenders might get offered a deal by one of Europe’s most financially potent teams. According to the Daily Mail, PSG are interested in signing Serbian defender, Branislav Ivanovic whose contract is going into its last 15 months at the end of this season. The 30 year old is currently valued at £16.5 million which would not be an issue for the French side.

It will be hard though for PSG to steal Ivanovic from The Blues especially after Mourinho took over. The Portuguese manager is a big fan of the Serbian and has no problem working with players over the age of 30 which could have been the only issue coming between the club and its defender.

Mourinho will probably offer Ivanovic a new deal sometime soon as other players are also looking to find out what their future holds. Terry, Lampard and Cole who are currently performing for the Blues after each received a one year extension on their contract, will also want to reach a new agreement with Chelsea’s boss.

Out of the four, Cole is the least likely to continue at Stamford Bridge as rumors already have Southampton’s Luke Shaw coming to London at the end of the season. PSG will probably make an offer during the summer considering Thiago Silva is the only central defender who has actual experience when it comes to the Champions League. Alex who is currently playing alongside the Brazilian is very likely to leave as AC Milan seem interested in his services.
