Luiz Closer To A Transfer More Than Ever

Luiz Closer To A Transfer More Than Ever

After refusing to sit down with Barcelona for a possible transfer agreement, Luiz might just begin negotiations with Bayern. The German side seem keen on making a move for the Brazilian as soon as possible. Unfortunately for them, it appears no negotiations will take place until after the World Cup. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea’s defender is looking for a new challenge career wise. After winning all major competitions except the Premier League, the 27 year old is tempted to leave London.

Despite being a priority for Barcelona, Luiz has yet to speak about his future. His choice is also influenced by Scolari who insisted his players remain focused on the World Cup and not on possible transfer rumors.

Chelsea might sell the Brazilian in order to try meeting FIFA FFP regulations. Luiz seems like the only valuable player the Blues could do without. With Terry signing a new one year deal, Mourinho would have more than enough time to find a replacement for Luiz during next year’s transfer period.

Even if Luiz is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, it is clear that his motivation is a bit short after winning the Champions League, the Europa League and the FA Cup. If Chelsea would have won the Premier League this year, many think that the Brazilian would already be negotiating with another team.
