‘Long Standing Interest…” Report Confirms Chelsea Star Could Move To PSG Next Summer

Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.

The English tabloid claims the Ligue One champions have a “long standing interest” in the 31-year-old (who has also been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal previously). They are expected to be among the frontrunners to secure his signature when his contract expires next year.

Kante has been offered a new deal by the Blues, which is said to be a two-year extension, with an option for an additional twelve months, but the midfielder is reportedly “seeking” a four-year agreement, similar to the one handed to Kalidou Koulibaly.

Although Kante is seen as a key first-team player, there are growing concerns about his injury record and the club are hesitant about handing him such a long contract.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Blues have already lined up three potential replacements for Kante, so it does appear the London club are planning for life without the Frenchman.
