Loftus Cheek To Start And Pulisic Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard fielded a much-changed team in the 1-0 win over Leicester at the weekend but he was clearly unhappy with the side’s performance considering his half time changes.

He will likely revert to the eleven that won 2-1 against Manchester City when they face West Ham, with perhaps a couple of changes due to injuries.

In defence, captain Cesar Azpilicueta could return in place of Reece James at right-back, while Marcos Alonso is expected to come in for Emerson on the opposite flank.

With Ruben Loftus-Cheek having started on the bench against Leicester, it seems likely that he’ll be selected in the eleven tonight, with Billy Gilmour dropping out.

Christian Pulisic’s calf issue means it would be a surprise if he is in the starting line up, with Mason Mount the likeliest to push further forward onto the left-wing, with Mateo Kovacic coming into the team.

Olivier Giroud has established himself ahead of Tammy Abraham in the pecking order up front in recent games, and the Frenchman is expected to feature from the start this evening.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham:

Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger, Alonso, Kovacic, Kante, Loftus-Cheek, Willian, Giroud, Mount
