Loftus Cheek And Kante To Start, Gilmour And Willian Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Aston Villa

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has only two injury concerns heading into the match against Aston Villa tomorrow, so the Blues boss will have a number of options available to him for his starting eleven.

Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger are expected to line up in the centre of defence, with Reece James likely to come in at right-back with captain Cesar Azpilicueta shifting to the left-hand side.

Lampard will face a difficult choice in central midfield. N’Golo Kante is available to start, and it will be a toss-up between the Frenchman and Billy Gilmour for who will be given the nod at Villa Park. The Chelsea boss may opt for experience over youth.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be handed his first start of the season with Mateo Kovacic the favourite for the other midfield slot.

It will also be a tough decision on whether to play Willian and Pedro whose contracts expire at the end of the month. Lampard may opt to leave the pair out with Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount being given starts instead.

Tammy Abraham is almost certain to be selected ahead of Olivier Giroud to lead the line.
