Ligue 1 giants eyeing move for Stamford Bridge superstar

Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain have made Chelsea midfielder N’golo Kante their number one transfer target for next summer, reports The Sun.

The Frenchman, who was born in Paris, has been named the Premier League’s best player in each of the last two seasons, and has become one of Europe’s most sought after commodities.

He is also the only player in Premier League history to win back-to-back titles with different teams, having clinched an unlikely title with Leicester City in 2015/16 before again lifting the trophy the following season after a £30 million move to Stamford Bridge.

Kante was named in the Premier League PFA Team of the Year in 2015–16 following his title win with Leicester City under former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, he was also named Leicester City Players’ Player of the Year 2015–16 plus he was named French player of the year in December 2017 beating out former Monaco and now PSG star Kylian Mbappe to be crowned France Football’s Player of the Year.

Following his extraordinary season with the Blues N’Golo Kante picked up the Premier League’s Player of the Season award, the PFA Players’ Player of the Year which is a highly respected prize amongst all in the football world as well as being named the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year, plus for good measure the midfielder was also named Chelsea’s Players’ Player of the Year. If you feel like Kante can win more awards or team trophies this season you might want to have a bet on him and take advantage of a Paddy bonus code 2018 when you place your bet on the midfield general.

It is no surprise that PSG now want to bring the midfielder back to his place of birth as they look for a long term replacement for the ageing Thiago Motta.

Brazilian Motta, 35, is nearing the end of his career, and Kante is seen as his natural successor at the Stade de France.

PSG are also preparing for life without Marco Verratti, who is expected to leave in the summer, with Barcelona amongst those eyeing the Italian.

The French giants had eyed AS Monaco’s Fabinho during the summer, however after failing to land their man, have now turned their attention to Kante.

Chelsea however, will be reluctant to part ways with their star midfielder, whose contract in South West London does not expire until 2021.
