Chelsea have six fitness concerns heading into the game against Leicester on Saturday. Tammy Abraham is a major doubt due to an ankle injury, while Olivier Giroud (groin) could also be missing.

Christian Pulisic won’t return until after the winter break due to a groin problem, and both Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles) and Marco van Ginkel (knee) remain unavailable.

Reece James, could, however, make his return to the squad after missing the last two games with a knee injury.

Leicester are still reeling from their surprise Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Aston Villa and their players won’t have much time to recover before the lunchtime kick-off this weekend.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has three players out injured for the game at the King Power. Nampalys Mendy (knee), Daniel Amartey (ankle) and Matthew James (fitness) have all been ruled out.
