With Hiddink taking over and mostly because of the poor form several players have displayed during the last couple of months, a lot of transfer rumors started going around Stamford Bridge. Insecurity grew even for star players like Hazard who was linked intensely to Real Madrid. Even though that is not something to seriously consider there were some rumors that Branislav Ivanovic, Fabregas or Loftus-Cheek have one foot out the door. There was also Falcao who was rumored to leave earlier than first agreed upon mostly because he does not get any time on the pitch. Three of these players will not be leaving this winter according to Metro and two are even expected to extend their stay starting with June.

  1. Branislav Ivanovic – 31 – the Serbian defender was linked to several important European clubs, clubs that were ready to provide him with a long term contract. This is not something that will happen while playing for the Blues who do not offer extended deals to players over 30. Despite that it appears that the right-back will continue playing for Chelsea and will settle for one year extensions just as Terry does.
  2. Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 19 – The young midfielder was rumored to leave as he is not getting too much time on the pitch. He is good enough to perform in the Premier League but has a tough time making appearances in Chelsea’s first eleven. The Blues have made quite an impression on the England U21 international who is expected to add a couple more years to his deal which is set to expire in 2017. Reports say that he even turned down substantial transfer offers to continue with Chelsea. It would be good to see him stay as he is a fan favorite. Some even see in him a possible replacement for Frank Lampard when it comes to being a leader.
  3. Radamel Falcao – 29 – The Columbian striker has run out of luck and cannot even return to Monaco to try and get some time on the pitch. Chelsea are stuck with him until June as first agreed upon as the French side refuse to cut the deal short. Monaco’s VP told the press that there is no way they will take Falcao back with his injury expected to heal in two months-time.

It looks like these three will not leave Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2015-2016 season. What happens next is to be figured out in June.
