Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is back on the training pitch at Cobham as he works his way back to full fitness following a hamstring injury.
The Frenchman has not played since the 2-2 draw against Tottenham last month but he is now undergoing individual training drills with the club’s coaching staff.
It is still not clear whether he will be available to face Crystal Palace after the international break but he is not far from making his first-team comeback.
Edouard Mendy has returned to England to undergo more treatment on a knee problem. The keeper was called up by Senegal for this week’s games against Bolivia and Iran but he is not deemed to be fit enough to play in the two international friendlies.
The 30-year-old has not started for Chelsea since the 2-1 win over West Ham, after sustaining an injury in a collision with Jarrod Bowen. There is a possibility that he could return for the Palace game but it is far from certain at this stage.
