Latest Chelsea Injury Report: Updates On Fofana, Mount And Four Other Players

Wesley Fofana

Chelsea centre-back Wesley Fofana picked up a hamstring injury during the 2-2 draw against Everton at the weekend.

The Frenchman was substituted near the end of the second half and he was pictured with an icepack on his leg. When asked about the problem after the game, manager Graham Potter said the defender was simply fatigued. That has proven to be incorrect as the player has now withdrawn from international duty to undergo treatment.

Mason Mount remains sidelined due to an issue with his pubic bone, so he won’t be playing for England during the international break. Raheem Sterling (hamstring) is also still unavailable.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is believed to be suffering with a back problem, while Cesar Azpilicueta hasn’t returned to action since picking up a concussion against Southampton last month.

Thiago Silva is likely to be back in mid-April as he recovers from a knee injury, while Armando Broja (ACL) is out for the rest of the season.
