Latest Chelsea Injury Report: New Updates On Jorginho, Havertz, Alonso And Kante

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Jorginho is carrying a hip injury. The Italian captained the Blues in the 3-2 defeat to West Ham yesterday and played the entire 90 minutes.

However, it is very likely that the 29-year-old will sit out the final Champions League group stage game against Zenit St Petersburg on Wednesday evening.

Kai Havertz injured his ankle before half-time at the London Stadium, with Romelu Lukaku replacing him after the interval. Tuchel said that Havertz was in “huge pain” and was unable to continue.

Marcos Alonso also picked up a back problem in the second half against the Hammers, with the Spaniard having to be subbed off with 20 minutes to go. He is a major doubt for the Zenit match.

N’Golo Kante has an ongoing knee issue which Tuchel has said still hasn’t been resolved, while Mateo Kovacic, Trevoh Chalobah (both hamstring) and Ben Chilwell (knee) are mid to long-term absentees.
