Chelsea manager Frank Lampard confirmed before the 3-1 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup on Saturday that Christian Pulisic was suffering from a “small” injury.
The fact that the Blues boss said that he could have used him from the bench if required suggests it is only a minor niggle and he should be in contention to play against Liverpool tomorrow night.
N’Golo Kante‘s hamstring problem remains a worry. The Frenchman was ruled out of the United game at the weekend as Lampard revealed the player was still not feeling 100%. He, therefore, remains a doubt for the trip to Anfield.
Chelsea’s only other injury concern is Billy Gilmour. The midfielder will miss the two remaining games of the season versus Liverpool and Wolves with a knee injury he sustained against Crystal Palace. He has undergone surgery and is not expected to be back in action until the beginning of October.
