Latest Chelsea Injury News: Updates On Kante, Kovacic, Chalobah And Chilwell

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is expected to be back in full training tomorrow after recovering from a knee problem.

The 30-year-old has been sidelined since the Champions League group game against Juventus last month when he had to be taken off before half-time in the 4-0 win. He should be ready to face Everton on Thursday evening.

Mateo Kovacic is seeing out the last few days of his self-isolation after picking up the virus. The Croatian did have mild symptoms and he will be given the go-ahead to train again once he has been given the all-clear.

Trevoh Chalobah’s hamstring problem is not believed to be as bad as first feared and there is hope that he could be available for selection very soon. The defender has not played in the Blues’ last three matches after being substituted in the 2-1 victory over Watford.

Ben Chilwell sustained a knee ligament tear at the end of last month and the fullback is unlikely to be ready until the FA Cup third-round tie against Chesterfield at the start of January.
