Lampard Suggests That Two Chelsea Players Could Leave The Club

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has suggested that both Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kenedy could leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window in Europe closes on Monday.

Speaking at his pre-match conference yesterday, the Blues boss made it clear that there may be more departures before the deadline and that both Bakayoko and Kenedy could well be on their way:

“It’s a possibility. We are getting to the point now where the window is closing soon. I’m pretty clear on where my squad is, but [Bakayoko and Kenedy] are our players as it stands. So we’ll have to see how they both develop.”

“In terms of Bakayoko and Kenedy, yeah for sure [there is a chance they will leave]. We’ll see how it goes.”

Reports in recent days have suggested that Bakayoko is closing in on a loan switch to former club Monaco. The Ligue One side are said to be negotiating an option to buy at the end of the season.

Kenedy also looks set to leave on loan once again. The Brazilian spent last campaign at Newcastle but it appears the winger could be moving to Italy.

Sassuolo are said to have held talks with Chelsea in recent days about taking the 23-year-old on a temporary basis. The Serie A club have previously signed Jeremie Boga from the Blues.
