Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is close to signing a new contract, according to reports in the English media.
The 18-year-old was the subject of a £22.5m bid from Bayern Munich last month with the teenager’s current deal set to expire next summer.
Following talks with new manager Frank Lampard, though, it appears Hudson-Odoi will commit his long-term future to the Blues. Fans on Twitter are delighted by the news:

Chelsea have been trying to tie down Hudson-Odoi to a new contract for well over a year, but despite being offered a reported £100,000 a week, he has stalled on signing on the dotted line.
One of the main reasons was he was unconvinced that he would get the game time needed at Stamford Bridge, but it appears he has been given the right assurances from Lampard.
Hudson-Odoi is currently undergoing treatment for a ruptured Achilles tendon but has been making good progress in his rehab.
