Kovacic And Ziyech To Start, Kante And Pulisic On The Bench: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Aston Villa

Any win will do for Thomas Tuchel’s side as Chelsea travel to Villa Park knowing a victory will clinch a top-four finish.

You wouldn’t expect many changes from the 2-1 win over Leicester on Tuesday night. Edouard Mendy will start in in goal, with Reece James expected to move to right wingback, with Ben Chilwell on the opposite flank.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger will likely take up the three positions in the centre of defence, with Andreas Christensen back on the bench following a hamstring injury.

N’Golo Kante is touch and go due to his own fitness problems but, with Mateo Kovacic back available, there is no need to risk the Frenchman. Jorginho will be handed the other central midfield role.

In the front three, Tuchel does have the tendency to change things so Hakim Ziyech may come in for Christian Pulisic, with Timo Werner and Mason Mount keeping their places.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Take On Aston Villa:

Mendy, James, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, Chilwell, Kovacic, Jorginho, Ziyech, Werner, Mount
