Kante And Werner To Start, Havertz On The Bench: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Play Leicester In The FA Cup Final

The defeat to Arsenal midweek was hardly ideal for Chelsea’s preparations for the FA Cup final, and manager Thomas Tuchel will want a response with an improved performance at Wembley.

It has already been confirmed that Kepa Arrizabalaga will start in goal against Leicester, ahead of Edouard Mendy; a decision which will raise a few eyebrows among fans.

In defence, it is expected that Antonio Rudiger will come back into the side ahead of Kurt Zouma, joining Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta in the back three.

Reece James is almost certain to start at right wingback, but it is a toss-up between Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell on the left-flank. Tuchel may opt for the more defensive-minded Englishman.

The makeup of the midfield will depend on the fitness of N’Golo Kante. The Frenchman was not available for the Gunners loss due to an Achilles problem, but it is hoped he’ll be back tomorrow to line up alongside Jorginho.

The front three could see the inclusions of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, with Mason Mount taking the final spot in the eleven.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Leicester:

Kepa, James, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Ziyech, Werner, Mount
