Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has revealed that he does not regret turning down the chance to sign for his boyhood club PSG in favour of joining the Blues.

Kante has been a revelation in the Premier League since he joined Leicester a little over two years ago, winning 2 back-to-back titles with Leicester and Chelsea.

The 26-year-old was obviously a highly sought after man after playing a pivotal part in Leicester’s incredible Premier League triumph. But he opted to join Chelsea, and has revealed he chose Stamford Bridge despite the lure of his favoured club.

Speaking to Le10Sport, he said: “Do I regret that I rejected PSG? No.”

“When I was in Leicester, I had opportunities, but my priority was to stay in the Premier League.”

“When Chelsea contacted me, I spoke with the coach and the feeling was good between us.”

Kante has been one of the best midfielder’s in the Premier League during his two seasons in the English top flight. Chelsea are truly very lucky to have acquired the Frenchman’s services, especially with the player being given the opportunity to play for his boyhood club.

Kante’s performances have been rewarded with the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and the FWA Footballer of the Year award last season, as well as being included in both of the Premier League’s Team of the Year XI – in the two season’s he has spent in England.
