Juventus star leaves Chelsea hanging in the balance

Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has left Chelsea hanging in the balance with the latest comments on his future.

It has been reported Higuain will be free to leave Juve this summer despite scoring 23 times for The Old Lady last season.

The Argentina international has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with the Chelsea reportedly ready to allow Alvaro Morata to return to Turin as part of the deal for the 30-year-old striker.

Morata enjoyed a two-year loan spell in Turin and is understood to be keen to return after a difficult debut season in the Premier League.

And Higuain, who has remained coy on his future with the Serie A Champions, again revealed no secrets as to where his future lies with his comments.

He told ESPN: “For now I feel good and I’m happy at Juventus, my daughter for now will grow up in Turin,” before going onto say: “But I would like to play in the Premier League.”

Higuain joined Juventus in 2015 in a controversial switch from Napoli, and has scored 55 times in 105 appearances for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, helping them to back-to-back league and cup doubles.
