Juventus Respond After Chelsea Offer Choice Of TWO Players In Part Exchange Bid For De Ligt

Juventus will not accept any players in exchange for defender Matthijs de Ligt, according to Tuttosport.

Chelsea are believed to be very interested in signing the Dutch international and the Italian newspaper claim that they have already offered Juve the choice of signing either Timo Werner or Christian Pulisic as part of their first “proposal.”

However, the Serie A side want cash only and they believe they are in a strong position, considering de Ligt has a €120m (£103m) release clause.

Some reports in the UK have suggested that the Bianconeri may let the centre-back leave for around €100m (£85.8m) but it remains to be seen if the Blues are willing to do business at that price.

CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs has confirmed that de Ligt is open to a move to Stamford Bridge, and the Blues have been offered encouragement to make a formal approach:

“De Ligt and Koulibaly are both on Chelsea’s shortlist, I think de Ligt is more likely. He’s interested, his people have intimated that when I’ve spoken to them, and Chelsea are ramping up their interest.”

Other teams, including Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have also been linked to de Ligt in recent days but it seems as if Chelsea are in the driving seat at the moment.
