Journalists Claims Chelsea Star Is “Annoyed” With Tuchel Who He Believes Has Been “Too Critical” Of Him

Chelsea forward Timo Werner is “annoyed” with manager Thomas Tuchel and there is a strong possibility that he will leave Stamford Bridge, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The reporter claims that Werner does not have a good relationship with Tuchel who he feels has been “too critical and skeptical” about his abilities:

Earlier this week, Werner did not give a straight answer when he was asked whether he was happy at Chelsea, and that led to a rather curt response from Tuchel, who said the striker should be pleased to play for the Blues

It does seem as if the player’s departure this summer is looking more and more likely, but the main issue has always been the 26-year-old’s salary, which has scared off other teams from making offers.

Considering Werner is determined to play a key role for Germany at the World Cup, though, he may be prepared to take a pay cut, but a lot will depend on who is interested in signing him before the transfer window closes next month.
