Chelsea remain interested in Tottenham striker Harry Kane, despite making progress in their attempts to sign Erling Haaland, according to Nizaar Kinsella.
The journalist reports that the Blues have maintained contact with Kane’s representatives, even though they are aware that negotiations with Spurs will be extremely difficult:
Chelsea hope Haaland talks can help pave way for future Bellingham deal. He’s been on the club’s radar since he was very, very young. Kane option still not off the table though: https://t.co/r0pnt1qdcC #CFC

With other news outlets claiming that Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Haaland, it seems like the London club are simply keeping their options open, just in case they can’t sign the Norwegian this summer.
Kane is also being pursued by Manchester City and Manchester United, and it is believed that Tottenham would hold out for a fee in excess of £150m.
It appears that hasn’t deterred Chelsea, though, who seem reluctant to give up on the prospect of signing the 27-year-old. In theory, Haaland and Kane would cost similar amounts, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s reluctance to do a deal is likely to be the key stumbling block.
