Journalist Reveals Abramovich Has ‘Promised’ Tuchel 128M Transfer On One Condition

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has “promised” manager Thomas Tuchel that he will sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland if he guides the Blues into the Champions League this season, according to Mundo Deportivo journalist Xavier Bosch.

The Norwegian international will be in high demand this summer, with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Manchester United all believed to be pursuing the player’s signature.

Haaland is reportedly valued at around €150m (£128m) so the Blues would have to almost double their transfer record in order to snap up the 20-year-old at the end of the season.

Considering how prolific the forward is, though, he is very likely to be worth the money. This campaign, the Norwegian has already scored 31 goals in 30 appearances, and he has the potential to be one of the most talented goalscorers of his generation.

It will be a huge challenge to secure Haaland’s services but Abramovich has a good track record of getting his number one targets.
