PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke is “keen” on making the switch to Chelsea, according to journalist Rob Pratley.
The England Under 21 international has been recommended to the Blues by new technical director Christopher Vivell but Pratley says there is still some uncertainty over whether the club will match PSV’s €40m (£35m) asking price:
At the moment, Chelsea wary about the €40m asking price and would like to tie a significant chunk of it to performance add-ons. Player is happy at PSV but would be keen to discuss a move if clubs agree terms. I believe he qualifies as homegrown due to time at Spurs.

Madueke is a talented young player and it is interesting that Pratley says Vivell recommended him as Christopher Nkunku’s replacement when he was still at RB Leipzig.
It could well be the case that both players end up at Stamford Bridge, with a deal for Nkunku expected to be confirmed soon ahead of a summer switch.
In terms of Madueke, though, there have been some concerns about his injury record but the fact that he is English and would help the club’s homegrown quota does appear to be another factor behind going after the 20-year-old. We shall see if an agreement over the transfer fee is reached before the end of the month.
