Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland and Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku are Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel’s top transfer targets ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Christian Falk.
While refuting claims that the Blues are also after Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, the BILD journalist said signing one of the two forwards will be Tuchel’s “priority” at the end of the season:
NOT TRUE ❌ is that @ChelseaFC plan a Transfer of Jude Bellingham this summer. The priority of Thomas @TTuchelofficial is a striker like @ErlingHaaland or @RomeluLukaku9 pic.twitter.com/AcgJnTgevB

Both players are expected to cost significant amounts. Haaland’s asking price is believed to be around the €150m (£130m) mark, and there is strong interest from other clubs including Manchester City and Manchester United.
Were a bid for the Norwegian international to fail, though, it’s likely that Lukaku is seen as the fallback option. The Belgian’s club Inter do need to sell in order to balance the books, but with the striker having scored 27 goals in all competitions, the Nerazzurri will be reluctant to offload a prized asset. In any case, it seems Tuchel has tasked the Blues with delivering a new number nine ahead of next campaign.
