Jose Shows Sympathy For Ferguson And Says Demise Is Not His Fault

Jose Mourinho has come to the defence of Manchester United and cannot get his head round why many supporters are blaming Sir Alex for the demise of the Red Devils this season as TEAMtalk report.

Both clubs head into this weekend’s fixtures in what could not be more contrasting situations – Chelsea are in 1st a point up on Liverpool  and three points ahead of Man City who have 2 games in hand on them. Chelsea still have to play Liverpool at fortress Anfield and Liverpool have to play City too. The Merseysiders played well in both matches in the previous encounters but came out on the wrong end of the scoreline.

Even though David Moyes has had little really go his way at Old Trafford except for the Rooney extension, the Mata (acquisition although yet to spark) and the nice Champions League come-back victory – you could argue that he has had a most difficult season and that his shortcomings and his perceived ability to be up to the job must fall on Ferguson who had picked him as his successor. So Fergie must carry the can on this one and should, if the Board make a change then they will pin the cock-up vis-a-vis Moyes on Ferguson and then come out clean as they entertain Van-Gaal, Martinez and Klopp as candidates. Personally I think Moyes will get another year or two at the very least as United are clearly not prone to making rash decisions.

I think Jose gets it that Moyes took on a massive job and that it will take time and that Man United are willing to give Moyes 3-4 years.
