James, Zouma And Havertz To Start, Werner Dropped: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Take On Fulham

After an excellent performance in Madrid on Tuesday, Chelsea will need to refocus their efforts quickly on securing a top-four finish when they face Fulham tomorrow.

Edouard Mendy is expected to keep his place in goal ahead of Kepa, but there may be a few changes in the backline. Cesar Azpilicueta was taken off on the hour mark against Real and he could be rested ahead of the second leg. Reece James is, therefore,  the favourite to come in to play as the right wingback. Marcos Alonso may replace Ben Chilwell on the opposite flank.

In the centre of defence, Thiago Silva could be taken out of the firing line, with the Brazilian veteran needing to manage his fitness. That may mean Kurt Zouma starts in the middle of a back three with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger either side of him.

There won’t be any changes in midfield, unless Mateo Kovacic is declared fit, so Jorginho and N’Golo Kante will continue their partnership, with Mason Mount playing ahead of them.

Up front, Christian Pulisic deserves to keep his place after his goal midweek, while Timo Werner’s profligacy in front of goal may see him dropped in favour of Kai Havertz.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Fulham:

Mendy, James, Christensen, Zouma, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Mount, Jorginho, Havertz, Pulisic
