James, Jorginho And Lukaku To Start, Pulisic And Saul Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Play West Ham

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admitted that his team were lucky to come away with the three points against Watford on Wednesday night. He will want a much better performance from his players when they take on West Ham tomorrow.

Edouard Mendy will start in goal, with Thiago Silva expected to return to the back three alongside Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger. Trevoh Chalobah is likely to be out for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Reece James should be able to return after an ankle problem, replacing captain Cesar Azpilicueta on the right flank, with Marcos Alonso keeping his position on the left-hand side.

Jorginho could replace Saul Niguez, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek is expected to stay in the side, with N’Golo Kante unlikely to be fit to start at the London Stadium.

Romelu Lukaku has had enough time to regain full fitness so the Belgian may lead the line. Both Kai Havertz and Mason Mount were impressive versus Watford, so Christian Pulisic could be the one to make way.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham:

Mendy, James, Christensen, Silva, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Lukaku, Havertz
