James And Kante To Start, Hudson Odoi And Jorginho Dropped: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face United

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is unlikely to make too many changes to the side that won against Atletico Madrid, when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow.

Edouard Mendy is likely to keep his place, and with Thiago Silva not expected to be fit, Tuchel will almost certainly use the same back three of Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.

The German may be tempted into switching things up at wingback, however, with Reece James coming in for Callum Hudson-Odoi. Marcos Alonso is likely to be named ahead of Ben Chilwell once more on the left-hand side.

In midfield, N’Golo Kante’s work rate and energy may see him be given the nod ahead of Jorginho, with Mateo Kovacic alongside him and Mason Mount playing in the no.10 role.

Tuchel could opt to keep the partnership of Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud up front in order to maintain the team’s goal threat.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face United:

Mendy, James, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Mount, Kovacic, Werner, Giroud
