It’s Only A Matter Of Time Until Falcao Is A Blue

When it comes to transfers (amongst other things) Chelsea fans are eagerly awaiting for this season to end. The Blues have already brought in some amazing players over the past two years and with just one or two top class additions to make up for Torres’s lack of form, they will again become one of the most complete teams in the world. All roads point to Atletico’s Radamel Falcao. He has managed to have an amazing streak, scoring an impressive 63 goals in 2 seasons with quite a few matches left to play until the end of this season. His genius in front of goal helped his team stay in the Primera Division top three since the start of this year, now ranking third and being only one point away from Real Madrid in 2nd.

Falcao looks like the perfect fit for Chelsea. With Mata and Hazard on the sides of the attacking line and with Oscar providing some amazing assists, the Colombian will surely manage to score even more than in his period spent for Atletico.

It seems that the Blues are going to have to fight for Falcao’s signature with Real. In recent rumors it looks like the Stamford Bridge team will have a slight advantage because Real will have to pay £15 million more than Chelsea, according to a contract clause that does not allow the Colombian to play for city rivals for a transfer fee lower than £65 million.

The Blues also have a great relationship with Atletico because of their current collaboration in regards to Belgian international Thibaut Courtois, who is on loan and could easily be transferred for good if Falcao comes to Chelsea.

The Colombian international is in great form and is as close to a sure thing when it comes to transfers as there is, unlike Torres who cost Chelsea just as much as Falcao could. The Spaniard may even be part of a trade that would take him back to his old team. The Blues have some aces up their sleeves to try to help to sign one of the best strikers in the world. Other teams such as PSG or Manchester City could afford Falcao’s signature but their lack of success when it comes to important trophies over the past years is definitely a disadvantage.
