“It Is Something That Would Please Him” Agent Claims Chelsea Star Is Targeting Move To Italy

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is likely to move back to Italy when his current deal expires at Stamford Bridge, according to his agent Joao Santos.

Speaking out about a possible return to Serie A, the player’s representative said that the 29-year-old, who has been linked with Arsenal in recent months, has set his sights on going home when his contract ends in 2023:

“A return to Serie A? Surely, it is something that would please him at the end of his current contract”

Jorginho has been in and out of the side during Frank Lampard’s eighteen months in charge of the Blues, but he did receive praise from the Chelsea boss recently after coming on for the second half in the 3-1 defeat against Arsenal.

The Italian international subsequently started the 1-1 draw versus Aston Villa on Monday evening, but it remains to be seen whether he will now be given a longer run in the starting line up.

Lampard has started Jorginho 14 times in all competitions this campaign, including all six of the Blues’ Champions League games. The fact that he is getting quite a lot of game time suggests he is not in a rush to leave the club.
