Yaya Toure’s agent claims the former Manchester City star has passed a medical in London, but is yet to reveal who he will sign for.
Toure’s deal at the Etihad expired at the end of last season, ending his eight-year association with the club where he won three Premier League titles and is arguably one of their greatest ever stars.
The Ivory Coast international is yet to reveal who he will be signing for, but his agent has dropped a huge hint with a series of cryptic tweets.
Toure was heavily linked with a move to West Ham this summer, but his agent Dimitry Seluk has played down those rumours by saying his client is a ‘champion’.
??? Toure @YayaToure has passed a medical in London. Yaya is close to signing a new contract.

It's not West Ham, 100%.
Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him ? https://t.co/eDGeI0EvFf— Dimitry Seluk (@dmitriseluk) August 28, 2018
So with West Ham and Crystal Palace out of the equation, could Toure be on his way to the Emirates?
Absolutely not, says one reliable source:
I'm sure none of you are thinking this Yaya Toure stuff has anything to do with Arsenal, but just in case there is any doubt – If he is moving to a London club, it is certainly not Arsenal.

It’s left Twitter going into meltdown, with Toure now heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.
And it seems not everyone is too pleased with the rumours:
As good as yaya toure once was I don’t think I’d want him at chelsea he’s 35 and we’ve already got about 48,000 midfielders to pick from

Yaya Toure's agent hinting at Chelsea move by saying he passed a medical with a London club and is a champion who will only sign for a big club so that rules out Arsenal and Tottenham.
I hope Chelsea don't sign him, He is finished.

Yaya Toure to Chelsea could work out perfectly. No transfer fee. Proven PL winner. Upgrade on Bakayoko for sure.

His agent says Yaya Toure is a champion. I think champions play in the champions league. Rules out Arsenal. Chelsea already bolstered the midfield. I'm thinking Spurs.

Yaya Toure is 35… I’d be shocked if Chelsea touched him
