Is Oscar Replaceable?

Mourinho seems to be considering a possible swap between Chelsea and Juventus. Apparently, the Portuguese boss is planning on taking advantage of the Italian Club’s desire to bring in Brazilian star Oscar, by including Pogba in the deal. Even though Pogba is far more popular on the transfer market and is currently one of the most expensive players out there, Chelsea consider the Frenchmen a trading coin, not the other way around. According to Zapsportz, the only way Oscar is leaving Stamford Bridge is if Pogba is allowed to move to London.

Chelsea look at this deal as more of a swap rather than a transfer involving money. The Blues have strapped on to Oscar a price tag similar to that of Pogba which is probably the result of wanting to keep the Brazilian tied to the club until 2019 when his contract ends. There is probably little intention from Mourinho to let Oscar go as Chelsea do not actually need Pogba. The only place the Frenchman could be used is on the right wing but that is not his actual position on the pitch. Other than that, Chelsea is too well constructed to need to spend £60 million on a player who looks like a combination between Matic and Fabregas. Of course he would be a great addition to any team but not for Chelsea right now. Matic, Fabregas and Oscar complement each other perfectly. All that needs to be done is find a way to bring Oscar to the same level as the other two after suffering a small setback in terms of form. Mourinho should be more than capable of doing that especially after looking confident he can even revive Falcao.
