Is Loftus-Cheek Off To Serie A?

Chelsea seem to have found a way to calm spirits in Florence after the Italians threatened to take legal action against Mohamed Salah.

Chelsea have to make a tough decision up ahead as spirits grow more and more agitated when it comes to Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian international is about to become subject of a massive scandal after refusing to train with Fiorentina despite still being under contract with the Italians. According to Metro, the 23 year old not only refused to respect his contractual duties but also started negotiations with AC Milan who were ready to increase the winger’s salary. The problem is that Chelsea will also have to suffer if Salah does not return to Fiorentina. Apparently they can demand retribution from the club which might be held accountable for the player’s behavior especially if he signs with a different team.

For the Viola side it is not just a matter of respecting a contract but also a matter respect towards the club. Two weeks ago, the club’s representatives insisted they have made an insane offer for Salah. Just one day after that they expressed their disappointment publically as the Egyptian refused to even respond probably having other clubs in mind.

All this complicated affair does not do anyone any good and comes at a very inopportune moment for the 23 year old who was showing signs that he can still make it at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately, given the current situation it is very likely that he will spend a lot of time not playing and trying to figure out how to avoid paying Fiorentina punitive fees. There might be one way to calm everyone down as rumors have it that the Italians will drop all financial expectations if Ruben Loftus-Cheek moves to Florence. It would be a good way to end this mess and all sides would get something out of it. Loftus-Cheek would get some time on the pitch, Salah would return to Chelsea in top form and something bad could turn into something productive.
