Is all well at Chelsea?

When Jose Mourinho arrived for his first stint at Stamford Bridge, there was something unique in the way he handled things in the transfer market, everything went smoothly and everything was tied up pretty quickly.

This summer has already seen certain players such as Wayne Rooney and Edinson Cavani linked with the club but as yet, it’s simply heresay as to what is really happening.

The fact is, and if we use Andre Schurrle as an example, is that Chelsea, if keen on a player, conduct their business very efficiently, one moment the player is linked, a week later, they’re at the press conference saying how please they are to be in the blue side of West London.

Mourinho obviously knows what he is doing but where Edinson Cavani is concerned, is everything really going to plan? There are plenty of variables in a deal of this magnitude, not least of which are related to Napoli however when a player of Cavani’s ability becomes available, you can best your last quid that Real Madrid and AC Milan will be involved somewhere along the line.

Whether Chelsea are really chasing the Uruguayan is unknown, if they are, then Mouriinho will likely have already tied the deal up. If not, then this is one deal which is likely to go on for some time, something Chelsea are not known for doing in the transfer market.
