Inter’s 27 year old right midfielder, Fredy Guarin has been once again linked to Chelsea. Even so, his agent insisted that no offers have come from London. According to rumors, the Colombian was set to leave Milan and join the Blues sometime this January. Things apparently did not go Mourinho’s way as the forward seems keen on staying in Italy.

Sky Sports reported that Ferreyra, who is Guarin’s agent has put Chelsea talks on hold since December in order to set things straight with Inter’s Erick Thohir and Wlater Mazzarri who have not yet decided what their future plans are.

Signing Guarin during the summer seems the more plausible scenario though for Chelsea. The Blues are currently in desperate need of a striker to score on a regular basis. With the club set on winning at least one trophy this year, signing another midfielder does not really suit their needs at the moment.
