Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell put in yet another top drawer display as he played a key role in helping the Blues secure a crucial win against West Ham yesterday.
The England international was the one who set up Timo Werner for his winning goal, but his all-round play was also excellent. Fans on Twitter have been full of praise for the left-back:
Incredible player. Quality on and off the pitch.

he's an outstanding player Alex, was worth every penny we paid for him, he had that little dip like every player does but he's found his form again, such a privilege to have him at Chelsea ???

Following Thomas Tuchel‘s arrival in January, it did appear that the German was not entirely convinced by Chilwell. Marcos Alonso was handed a number of starts, with the £50m summer signing left to kick his heels on the bench.
However, over the proceeding months, Chilwell has begun to slowly but surely cement his place as the club’s first-choice left wingback, having managed to adapt well to a new position.
With three goals and seven assists in 34 appearances this season, the 24-year-old is certainly deserving of the accolades coming his way.
