“Im Told…” Journalist Reveals Serie A Giants Are Weighing Up Summer Swoop For 58M Rated Chelsea Striker

AC Milan are keeping tabs on Chelsea forward Armando Broja, according to journalist Carlo Pelegatti.

The Albanian international has performed well during a loan spell with Southampton this season and Pelegatti claims the Rossoneri are “monitoring” the player’s situation in case they don’t sign Liverpool’s Divock Origi on a free transfer:

“I’m told the player is valued at €70 million (£58m). I don’t exclude that Milan could have taken him on loan. As of today, however, Milan is very cautious on the subject: the situation has become complicated. The Rossoneri management cannot wait for Chelsea’s corporate evolution: if a new ownership and new manager arrive, Milan could return [for] Broja. That is if they don’t close first with Origi, who is currently the number one candidate. With sustainable figures, Milan can think about it.”

In addition to Milan, a number of Premier League clubs are also believed to be interested in Broja. The Saints are keen on signing the striker on a permanent basis, while West Ham and Arsenal are also said to be tracking him.

Chelsea’s ownership situation means any decisions on transfers are likely to be put on hold but the 20-year-old’s performances this season may suggest that he will be given a chance to impress manager Thomas Tuchel in pre-season.

£58m is also a substantial asking price, though, which would also indicate that the Blues don’t expect anyone to match it anyway.
