Chelsea are in negotiations with AC Milan about sending Fikayo Tomori on loan to the Serie A club, according to multiple reports in the English media.
However, there is some debate as to whether an “option to buy” will be included in the deal. The Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano says the Rossoneri want a €30m (£27m) purchase clause included.
If this was to be accepted, it would directly contradict what Blues boss Frank Lampard said about Tomori having a “long-term” future at the club, and supporters on Twitter have been debating the merits of the defender’s potential sale:
If we accept then Lampard lied.

Next Season :
Silva
New CB
Zouma
Guehi / Rudiger / ACI wouldn’t mind taking £26.4m for Tomori since I don’t think he’s ever going to play much, that’s a nice amount of money for a rotation player.

Do not sell Tomori for 26m think you’ve made profits,
then 2 seasons after Ac milan sell him for 45m ??Just like
Salah
De bruyne
Lukaku
Ake
Contract extension n 18 months loan best for me— Chelsea FansZone?? (@LalaOtu) January 15, 2021

They should let him go. You can’t hold somebody’s career to ransom when you are not ready to play him

The player wants to leave and Milan is on the up. No Brainer

Tomori has only played 17 times in the Premier League during his career so, to get £27m for a player who doesn’t have that much experience at the highest level, may be seen as a good bit of business by the club.
Even so, the England international has massive potential, which Lampard also clearly sees, so allowing him to leave permanently could prove to be a mistake.
