Chelsea are interested in Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, according to reports in the Catalan media.
The former Manchester United player could be allowed to leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer just a year after joining the La Liga club.
Even though Depay’s teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also being considered by manager Thomas Tuchel as the Blues look to strengthen their attacking options, many fans on Twitter feel that the Dutchman would be the better choice:

There are plenty of reasons why Depay could be the wiser option. Firstly, he is younger at 28 years of age, but his game would also suit Tuchel’s system a lot more.
While he can play as a number nine, Depay is just as comfortable playing off either flank, and he has a pretty decent scoring record too. In his one and only season for Barca, the Netherlands international racked up 13 goals in 36 appearances, while he bagged 76 in 178 games during his spell at Lyon.
