Ian Wright Predicts Who Will Be The “Next” Cobham Academy Star To Become A First Team Starter For Chelsea

Ex-Arsenal forward Ian Wright expects Chelsea’s Armando Broja to become a regular starter for the Blues in the not-too-distant future.

The Albanian international has started a couple of Premier League games this season but Wright genuinely believes that the striker can go on to do great things in a Chelsea shirt:

“Man’s got power. Is he seriously? (Responding to Sterling saying Broja’s the fastest man in the world). He’s got so much expectation from him, especially from Albania. But the fact is that he’s the next one off that pipeline at Chelsea. He is the truth. You have heard it here first, Armando Broja is the truth.”

After starring out on loan at Southampton last season, Broja was in high demand during the summer transfer window, with the likes of West Ham, Everton and Newcastle pursuing his signature.

However, the 21-year-old committed his long-term future to the Blues by signing a new six-year contract back in September and the expectation is that he will eventually establish himself as a key player under manager Graham Potter.

As Wright points out, Broja certainly possesses all the attributes to be a top forward. Whether he can convert that potential into producing top performances and goals, week in and week out, it remains to be seen.
