Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham scored a superb hat-trick in the Blues’ 5-2 win against Wolves yesterday. He now has an incredible seven goals in his last three appearances for his club.
Some supporters who criticised the 21-year-old after a poor start to the season are now admitting they were wrong to write off the youngster, and have been praising the striker’s performances on Twitter:
I was so wrong about him..

People are allowed to change their mind, it'd be worse to be stubborn and persist #CFC #Abraham

Yeah. I didn’t think he would this good. So far so good. Hopefully he doesn’t drop off like Morata.

Isn't that always the way? It's called a band wagon and people are great at jumping on it.

Huge credit to tammy for coming back from that Liverpool let down. Hope he will score two against them next week

There are managers who would have taken Abraham out of the firing line after he missed the penalty against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup final but Frank Lampard has put faith in the forward to perform.
He has been rewarded with a series of top-drawer displays. The Wolves performance, in particular, showed a man full of confidence and fans will now be hoping he can continue in this rich vein of form for the remainder of the season.
With Chelsea facing Liverpool next weekend, he could quickly lay the ghost to rest of that penalty shootout miss.
